Psalm 27

I believe that I shall see the goodness of the Lord
in the land of the living.
Wait for the Lord;
be strong, and let your heart take courage;
wait for the Lord!

I have seen this goodness.

It is abundant, especially where humankind is rare.

But even in great cities this goodness can be found.

We can be selfish, angry brutes, but we are also co-creators of the earth.

I do not have to wait. I need only look and act.
