Steadfast love and faithfulness will meet;
righteousness and peace will kiss each other.
Faithfulness will spring up from the ground,
and righteousness will look down from the sky.
The Lord will give what is good,
and our land will yield its increase.
Righteousness will go before him,
and will make a path for his steps.
Today many celebrate what is understood as God becoming human.
This miracle and mystery emerge in the form of a specific human, a particular personality.
The unique tsedeq - righteousness - of Jesus is shared-identity with the Father.
Yet, in the gospels we read as Jesus learns, considers options, and changes his mind.
God is manifold. Righteousness is manifold.
The path most appropriate and fulfilling for each of us may be narrow.
But there are many pathways to living with God.
