Be still before the Lord, and wait patiently for him;
do not fret over those who prosper in their way,
over those who carry out evil devices.
Refrain from anger, and forsake wrath.
Do not fret—it leads only to evil.
Do not fret, literally do not burn.
Do not be angry, literally do not twist up your face.
Do not have wrath, literally do not spit venom.
Be still, be quiet.
Be patient, dance and whirl and bring forth.
That is a unique kind of patience.
Maybe I am more patient than I realized.
